Katie loves to be surrounded by flowers – whether in her garden or traveling the world. When she is in her happy place designing patterns, her mind is filled with ideas from these happy times.

The motifs are usually hand-carved lino-cut blocks that are printed with a wooden spoon. The pattern elements are refined to a simplicity that feels iconic. The scanned prints are arranged to create repeat patterns. Her goal is to create patterns that she would buy.

Pomodori designs started with Katie using the Pomodoro technique to squeeze out more time for pattern design. Now that the creative juices are flowing, the cute tomato-shaped kitchen timer is her mascot!
